A few nights ago at 4.30am I finished the last picture of my crane series, the silk painting “Burning Times”, my first lockdown picture, showing the crane as a symbol for peace and change and the silhouette of a sleeping girl and a tree, all under the threat of fire it stands for the destructive forces of our time but also the power of change.
